In short
- In the app: Settings → “Delete account” → “Delete everything”. Your account is deleted from our server immediately.
- Without the app: email service@pebblebyte.com from your account’s email address.
- Cancel any Google Play or App Store subscription there as well.
1. Delete in the app
- Open AI Calorie Count and tap Settings.
- Below the “Account” section, tap “Delete account”.
- Confirm with “Delete everything”.
This deletes your account on our server and removes all app data from your device. Without an account the button is called “Delete all data”, and there is nothing to delete on our server. Uninstalling alone only removes the data on your device, not your account.
2. Request deletion by email, without the app
If you no longer have the app, email service@pebblebyte.com with the subject “Delete account” from the email address you signed in with. If you chose a private relay address with Sign in with Apple, write from the address Apple forwards to. We may ask you to confirm the request so nobody can delete someone else’s account. We delete your account within 30 days and confirm the deletion by email.
3. What we delete
From our server, immediately when you delete in the app:
- account ID, email address, sign-in provider and its identifier
- sign-in sessions and pending sign-in codes
- Premium details (product, term, status, store transaction ID)
- your backup key; exported backups can no longer be opened afterwards
- gift email consent and scheduled times
- your AI analysis counters
From your device: profile, onboarding answers, settings, meals, saved meal photos, activities, weight history, imported health data, reminders, and upload consent. Your diary, photos and health data are never stored on our server.
4. What we keep, and for how long
- Our server’s backups: account data in them is gone within 30 days of the deletion.
- Anything we must keep for legal reasons is restricted until the period ends.
- Error reports at Sentry contain no account data and are deleted after 90 days at the latest.
- We don’t store photos or text from AI analyses; OpenAI may keep them for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring.
- Google and Apple process purchase and sign-in data under their own responsibility. A running subscription doesn’t end with your account; cancel it in Google Play under Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, or in the App Store.
- Exported backup files stay with you; delete them yourself.
